About the project

Beskid Desserts is a small pastry shop on Maslenica Island in Croatia, inspired by the natural beauty of the coastal landscapes. We sought to convey a sense of lightness, sea breeze, and southern sun in every element of the interior—from colors to textures.

Idea and inspiration

The design concept is based on the natural shades of the Croatian coast: sea blue, light stone, ceramics with white and blue ornamentation, and warm sand colors.

Soft arched shapes, niches, Mediterranean-style ceramic vases, and an abundance of fresh flowers create an emotionally rich yet calm atmosphere. We wanted the interior to evoke associations with relaxation, sunshine, and lightness in our guests.

Materials and details

In this project, we used natural plaster, light-colored stone, handmade tiles with blue accents, fresh flowers, and decorative ceramics in a seaside style.

Each element was selected so as not to overload the space, but rather to create a feeling of comfort, lightness, and “fresh air.”
